Shipping Overview

At Southern Baked Pie Company, every pie is handmade and baked fresh before being frozen and carefully packaged for shipment.

All pies ship frozen in insulated packaging with dry ice to help maintain product quality during transit. Upon arrival, the pies will be cool to the touch. It is normal for dry ice to have dissipated upon arrival. As long as all pies are cool to the touch upon arrival, they can be enjoyed immediately or placed in the freezer for 6 months.

Processing Time

Orders are processed Monday through Friday.

Orders placed before 2:00 PM EST on a shipping day may ship the same day. Orders placed after 2:00 PM EST will be processed on the next available shipping day. All orders ship on the day you select at checkout.

We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or major holidays to prevent packages from sitting in carrier facilities over the weekend.

During peak seasons, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and other major holidays, processing times may be extended.

Delivery Timeframes

Orders using UPS or FedEx services designed to deliver within 1–2 business days after the selected ship date.

Estimated transit times are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed unless a guaranteed service is specifically purchased.

Delivery transit times are estimates and may be impacted by:

  • Weather conditions
  • Carrier delays
  • Mechanical failures
  • Natural disasters
  • High package volume
  • Other circumstances outside of our control

Dry Ice & Packaging

Pies are shipped in insulated coolers with dry ice.

Dry ice naturally evaporates during transit and may not be visible upon delivery. This is expected and does not indicate a problem with your shipment.

Please use caution when handling any remaining dry ice and keep it away from children and pets.

Upon Delivery

We recommend bringing your package indoors as soon as possible after delivery.

Upon receipt:

  • Place pies in the freezer for long-term storage.
  • Sweet pies may be refrigerated if they will be consumed within a few days.
  • Savory pies should be frozen until ready to bake.
  • Pies may be frozen for up to 6 months.

Incorrect Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

Southern Baked Pie Company is not responsible for delays, losses, or additional carrier fees resulting from:

  • Incorrect addresses
  • Incomplete addresses
  • Invalid/Missing apartment, suite, or unit numbers
  • Failed delivery attempts

Additional shipping charges may apply if a package must be rerouted or reshipped.

Carrier Delays

Once an order leaves our facility, it is in the possession of the carrier.

While we work closely with our shipping partners, Southern Baked Pie Company cannot control carrier operations, weather events, transportation disruptions, or delivery performance.

Damaged Orders

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 30 days of delivery.

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the shipping box
  • Photos of the product
  • Photos of any visible damage

Our team will review the claim and work with you to determine an appropriate resolution.

Route Package Protection

Route Package Protection is offered during checkout to protect against loss, theft, and damage during transit.

Customers who purchase Route should file claims directly through Route's claims portal for the fastest resolution.

Refunds & Replacements

Because our products are perishable food items, we do not accept returns.

If there is an issue with your order, please contact our Customer Service team within 30 days of delivery so we can review the situation and determine the best resolution.
