Roasted Green Beans
This simple dish is as versatile as it is beautiful, adding just the right touch of color and robust flavor to any plate.
2 pounds green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste, optional
Shaved Parmesan cheese, to taste, optional
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place beans in a shallow bowl and add the oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; toss to evenly coat.
Arrange green beans on baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 15 minutes, or until beans are tender. For additional flavor add crushed red pepper flakes or shaved Parmesan.
